McFarlane Toys Teams Up with NBCUniversal for an Exciting Expansion of Movie Maniacs

McFarlane Toys has announced its latest collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences. This partnership aims to broaden the Movie Maniacs brand, introducing a new range of posed figures and digital collectibles inspired by some of NBCUniversal's most beloved characters. Set to hit the shelves this spring, these collectibles promise a nostalgic trip down memory lane, paying homage to fan-favourite comedies from the 1980s and 1990s.

The initial lineup features iconic figures such as Jake Blues from The Blues Brothers, Andy Stitzer from The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and The Dude from The Big Lebowski. Each figure stands at the usual 6 inches and comes complete with a numbered art card, scenic backdrop, and an environmental base that brings the character to life. Additionally, McFarlane Toys is set to release a digital collectible version of each figure, offering fans a modern twist to their collections.

Todd McFarlane, the founder and CEO of McFarlane Toys, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "It's pretty cool to bring fans even more of their favourite characters – now from the rich library of NBCUniversal. With the recent launch of McFarlane Toys Digital, we have the unique ability to expand our Movie Maniacs brand, which began back in 1997, beyond our expertly detailed figures and into the digital world." He highlighted NBCUniversal's extensive collection of iconic characters and stories as the perfect fit for this innovative venture.

The products are set to launch this spring and will be available both online and at retail stores worldwide. For those eager to get their hands on the digital products, they will be sold in conjunction with the physical collectibles and can be redeemed at mcfarlanetoys.digital.

This exciting collaboration follows on the heels of McFarlane Toys' recent partnership with Hasbro, which saw the launch of Transformers and GI Joe Page Punchers. With such collaborations, McFarlane Toys continues to expand its portfolio of IPs and offerings to collectors.

Moreover, the partnership with NBCUniversal opens up tantalizing possibilities for future collections. Given the rich universe of characters within NBCUniversal's portfolio, one can't help but dream about the potential for a McFarlane Universal Monsters line. Such an addition would not only celebrate the legacy of these timeless characters but also offer a fresh take for today's collectors.

As McFarlane Toys expands its Movie Maniacs brand and delves further into digital collectibles, it's an exciting time for collectors and fans of nostalgic cinema. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to add some iconic characters to your collection this spring!
